How will the Place Study affect local councils?

Finally the Best Value Performance Indicator survey has been laid to rest and local councils will now been given more scope to focus on how residents feel and relate to where they live, rather than just “busy stuff” like how often the streets are swept.

The Halo Works has been researching these positive, forward-looking ideas for four years with local authorities.  Many of the key themes that they have worked on have now been adopted by The Place Surveys.  Alison Bond of The Halo Works says, “We are delighted with the change; five years ago, I made a commitment to see the end of the BVPI.  Although it took a little longer than I would have liked, we can finally see something better superseding it.  We are looking forward to working with our many local government clients to help put their Place Surveys in to action and help them to fully utilise the results.”
